Every month, the AI flags a set of three EDC items as deadly weapons—knives, axes, and who knows what else it sees—and takes my listing down.
They’re just three pieces of metal with screwdriver tips and bottle openers.
THAT’S IT !!!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/127587886400
What's even worse is that now I can't even file an appeal.
I don't know how to deal with eBay anymore. If you give negative feedback, they shadowban your account; if you try to follow the rules, the AI kicks in and delists your items... it's frustrating.
I'm not looking for an answer or a solution—just consider this as a note or some feedback.... I'm not really interested anymore, but I can assure you that, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

No one from ebay will be reading on here, but what category do you list in? Possibly a slightly different category would work.

AI is on intelligent so cannot identify from pictures, so must be category or words that it identifies.

Remember that eBay's so-called AI can't think. All it knows about the item is what you say in the listing. So you need to go through it step by step to find why it identifies these items as prohibited.

We can't see your listing, but for a start what category is it listed in? If sold as a multi-tool, for example, the bot will assume it contains a bladed tool. I don't know whether there's a category for every day carry tools, but these too can often include a bladed tool and the bot may have been taught to assume this.

You have told us that it's just a tool with screwdriver tips and bottle openers. Maybe that's how you will have to describe it. Is there any generic term for small multi-purpose tools tools without a blade?

I wonder whether eBay's bot would read and take account of a statement in the listing that the item does NOT contain any bladed tool? Might be worth a try, but I doubt it would work. My guess is that eBay's AI isn't smart enough to take account of contextual description; it may just ignore it, or worse even latch on to the word bladed to remove the listing.

Good luck anyway. We know from other questions asked here that you're not the only seller with this problem.

Category : Collectables & Art - Collectables - Keyrings ....because that's basically what they are "keyrings", and if you check at the picture in my first post, you'll see that's basically what it is, keyrings, not even one single sharpen edge.

I’ve also tried changing the category—this has been happening ever since I listed them for sale in December 2025. At least once a month. Until now, I could file an appeal and they would fix the error in the system. But now that’s over; they’ve closed the tab.
