Question Max £1 fees questions in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hi all,

I’ve searched the forums, and am going to contact eBay today to make sure my offer is active (I’m not sure where to see where it is) but thought I would ask you knowledgeable people first. It’s a long time since I sold something on here.

- I’m getting offers. I didn’t realise/see how to turn it off while creating my auction, and now there is no ‘tick box’ to get rid of this feature. I declined an offer after reading in another thread that this may then allow me to revise offers in my listing, but this hasn’t worked.

- Someone mentioned switching to another listing mode (away from quick list). Haven’t a clue how to do that, Maybe I am just bad at searching...

- If I accept an offer, do I pay the 10% final fee?

- if I add buy it now, do I pay the 10% final fee?

Thank you so much in advance.

If you accept an offer you still only pay the maximum £1 final value fee.

If you add buy it now you're adding a listing enhancement which is billable and not needed when you have best offer active.

If you accept an offer - you pay £1

if you add a buy it now when creating the listing you pay 50p for the buy it now and £1 final value fee

if you list during an 'offer' the offer is only valid for the first listing cycle, when the item auto relists the fees revert to the normal 10%

You dont need to contact ebay.

If you have the £1 offer you have to accept it either through the message or by going to your Promotional section on your MY ebay page

Once you have done that then the it will say Active

If you list an item and are not sure it has been listed on the offer then go back to the Promotional section and it will say 99 left instead of the 100 so you can see how many you have used.

Tiy need to use the Advanced listing form which you can change to o

When you click on Sell you can change to Advanced listing form at the top of the page.

You make sure the Best offer box is not ticked

Best offer is not always a bad thing as you can get offers for more as well as a lower offer and can refuse offers you do not want

If the item is on the £1 promotion then you pay £1 in fees ( that does not include motors)

Same with adding a buy it now you pay the £1 but you will pay 50p on every listing as the buy it now is chargeable and non refundable

Start at a price you are willing to accept and dont add upgrades

ON all promotions there is Learn more when you can read the information on the offer

There is lots of information at the bottom of the page under Site map to read up on ebay

This is just a quick question and answer thread for members with problems

Just a tip, the advanced listing tool is also called the business listing tool, and found top right of your page after you select Sell.

Ignore that it says it's for business and high volume sellers only, it isn't, it is for everyone to use.

That will give you more control over your account, and you'll be able to de select that best offer option.
