Question Dishonest seller in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Dishonest seller

Hello. I bought three books as a part of buy 2 get 1 free offer

Few days later i realised that the seller had cancelled one of the books and refunded without letting me know. The only reason i got all three was because of the offer

I contacted the seller to inform that i did not receive any of the books and to ask why they cancelled one of them. Seller replied that it was damaged and they did not want to send it in that condition and that he didnt have any other copies to replace it. I checked the shop and they have listed for sale 5 copies of that book , so seller lied

Can i/should i report to ebay and how do i do that?

I mailed the seller asking why he was dishonest and also iinformed that i did not receive any of the books yet. No reply yet

Any advice appreciated

Open a case for item not as described in the Resolution Centre, link at bottom of most pages. Escalate on days 9 - 21 if not refunded beforehand.

Do not close the case early, before it is fully resolved, and do not forget to escalate.

You get a refund then you can leave feedback for all three items (perhaps only two if one was supposedly free).

Just avoid saying anything that would allow the seller to ask ebay to remove.

There are only a few reasons why a seller can cancel a sale and chances are he has given himself a Defect and still has to pay the selling fee. There is nothing you can really report seller for, he has probably done enough damage to his selling account and paid a fee for nothing.
