Private listing - bidder identity protected

I have just bid on an item, and then noticed that the only other bidder was marked "private listing - bidder identity protected". Is this something to be concerned about, and should I try to withdraw my bid on the grounds something dodgy is going on? I don't have any concerns abuot the seller as I have bought something else from them and they have perfect feedback, but I have never seen this before. Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance.

It's because the seller ticked the 'private listing' box on the selling form when they were setting up the listing.

If the other bidder looks at the bidding history they will see you as "private listing - bidder identity protected".

Sometimes it is down to the ignorance of the seller, sometimes it's because they have something to hide.

If you have used the seller before then all should be ok.
