I ordereed an item on the 20th of November last year from shanghai.vzu. It wasn't what I was expecting. I contacted them, was told they would send a replacement. It didn't arrive, we will send another replacement, that didn't arrive either. By this time the 90 days is up, and I still haven't received the item. Several times I have been told they will refund my money, I am still waiting despite several reminders asking for a refund.

One thing is for sure I will never deal with this company again.

Why leave it so long ? ...too late to do anything now ... Seller has run you out of time to open any kind of case ... Sorry.

I'm afraid neither ebay nor paypal can help after all this time

If this ever happens again, it's Always better to go for a refund and buy elsewhere, the seller was just stringing you along til you ran out of time

It wasn't what I was expecting.

Surprisingly, nobody has pointed out that "what you were expecting" is irrelevant.

What counts on eBay is whether an item is as described. If it isn't, eBay gives buyers a rock solid, 30 day money back guarantee. There is a link to this in every listing. The seller even has to pay for the original item to be returned.

However, eBay expects members to read and follow the conditions and time limits to claim. If you don't, as you evidently didn't, you're liable to thow away the protection that eBay provides.

Sadly I fear you are right. Put it down to experience and all that. I have checked on the seller and discovered I am not alone. A case of buyer beware.

I thought it would be a bit mean of me to complain to eBay at the time, especially as they seemed genuinely sorry for what had happened. Should it happen again, then I will turn directly to eBay and let them sort it out.
