Question A seller removed the Negative Feedback I left in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

I bought an item, never received it, and never received replies to my messages.
I open a case against them, and suddenly a reply, with a tracking number (Item tracking says item is awaiting drop off at Post office)
I reply by saying this is not proof that it has been sent, this could be a tracking number for anything, doesn't prove it is my item, another week goes by, no reply and no item.
Anyway, long story short, item arrives after 17 days, no date as it's postage on account.
I close the case, but leave negative feedback on my experience of their poor customer service, a few days later, my feedback is removed, and they are in the clear, looking wonderful !
I get no word from eBay that my Feedback is being removed, no request from buyer to revise the feedback, it is simply just not there anymore.

I am unable to leave it again.
How on earth is this good and honest selling, if the buyer can behave any way he likes, and ebay allow him to hide any evidence of it by removing honest and truthful feedback?

Sellers cannot remove feedback. Ebay removed it because it was unjustified.

The seller gave you a tracking number which clearly said the item was at the post office awaiting collection, but you didn't believe him. Of course it was your item - why would it not be ? If the seller sent the wrong item he would then have the extra expense of paying for the return postage, so he's hardly going to give you false tracking information.

Why didn't you go and get the item to see for yourself, instead of virtually calling him a scammer and accusing him of giving you false tracking.

The seller sent the item, tracked, and tracking proved the item was at the post office. How is that NOT good honest selling ? It was more good and honest than the feedback you left. As for customer service - they did what they were supposed to do - send the item, tracked, and prove it with tracking. The only better customer service you could have had is if they'd delivered it by hand.

Wow, you seem to claim to know what feedback I left, and who's at fault, despite knowing little about the situation.
I have a Royal Mail business account, so know the terminology on the tracking numbers, I know that it is possible to label an item, but not take it to the post office, I know that a good seller would respond to messages, I know that a good seller will not ignore each stage of the dispute, until such time I feel compelled to escalate it, then miraculously a tracking number appears, claiming that the item is waiting to be dropped off, some weeks after purchase.
You don't know the feedback I left, so how can you possibly say that this seller was more honest than me??
That's a troll behaviour right there.
My feedback was fact, not anything but fact regarding the lack of communication.
My right as a buyer to do so if my buying experience fell short of what the seller is claiming to provide.
How could I go to get the item myself, when the buyer had not yet sent it on it's journey?
The tracking information said that it was awaiting drop off, so giving me, the buyer the information that it was still sitting in his warehouse, it had not been sent.

So thank you for your reply, albeit about as useful and as helpful as my seller

Sellers cannot remove feedback.

It's possible the bots removed it or something you wrote caused ebays decision to remove it.

I've seen it happen before.

It's also possible it was removed because of a tracking number being added, a lot of ebays system is automated, so the tracking number could have caused the case to go in the sellers favor.

You might have needed to appeal if the tracking was fake.

Thanks profgaz. I looked into it a bit more on some other threads on here, for similar issues, and although I knew it was probably eBay that removed it automatically, I couldn't see what I had written that had violated anything as my feedback was just about the fact that the seller never communicated with me, just ignored me.
Thanks for your reply
