My accountant tells me that because I am buying on eBay in a professional context I have to enter the seller's details against each purchase in the ledger. But apart from a name and email address on PayPal, I can't find these details anywhere. By "details" I mean name, address, and phone #. Can anyone tell me where I can find these and why both eBay and PayPal are hiding them please?

Update
There is no option to reply to the post made by Tressygirl so I am editing my original post.

Thank you for your reply Tressygirl however, for reasons unknown to me, eBay provide only the name, town/city, country, and phone #. I do not understand why these details are so secret? On Amazon, the details are given with every purchase or sale made.

One way I found to get them on eBay is to click on the Return item button. That way you don't have to submit the form but you can see the full address. It may not be the most ethical way of doing things but it is much simpler than having to jump through hoops à la eBay! 🙂

Another thing I have noted is that if the seller uses eBay's recommended courier, Hermes, the sender details are always those of the courier while the genuine sender is masked by a customer ID #. This would never be permitted on Amazon and makes me wonder what it is that eBay have to hide?
