Question My ebay account in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Recently I was told by Paypal that to receive a payment in my account, I would have to change my eBay account to a Business account, which I did. I didn't want a business account as I am only a private seller. I wish to change back my account to that of a private seller. I still haven't received the payment anyway, as eBay are preventing it, though I don't know why as I have had an account for some years, and always seem to receive payments promptly.

I would appreciate any advice on this.

paypal will not have told you to change your ebay account to a business one,

your ebay account has not been changed to a business account it is a normal private account.

I think you are confused,

did paypal ask you to update your paypal account? as you cannot receive payments until you do.

have you checked what email address you used for payments on the listing?
