i sold a couple of items on ebay but when i came to post them i mixed up the address labels and sent them to the wrong people. one customer was lovely and said "don't worry worse things happen". The other customer was horrid about it. They opened a return request which i agreed to straight away even paying for the postage label and adding it to the return request. the buyer still refused to return the wrong item and opened a case against me. The case info said that they had told the buyer to return the item and that i should refund them as soon as i received it, which is as i would expect. However, today i have a message from ebay saying that the case as been closed in the buyers favour without seller resolution !!!

What more could i have done (apart from not making my silly mistake in the first place but i am only human) I had (before the case ended) even offered this buyer their item plus a full refund for their trouble if they would post the wrong item to my other buyer. i was then accused after sending two messages of bombarding them with messages and told it was madness that i should expect them to post the wrongly sent item back.

my question is How can this be classed as without seller resolution when i did everything that was asked of me and more to try to resole this amicably?
