Question Cancelling listing that's sold in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

I listed an item and I didn't realise I had not put a reservation on the cost-my error completely. It's my daughters so I feel I couldn't sell an expensive perfume for 99p-emailed and explained to buyer and they threatened negative feedback if I don't post-what's your views? Can I avoid negative feedback- or is the only way to continue sale. I don't do rude people and they got angry that I didn't reply straight away-I was busy with an Easter egg hunt with the children-feeling upset ☹️

@sarah_horsey

It was your mistake & therefore you have a moral duty to complete the sale

If you cancel then you still have the fees to pay on the sale, will get a danmaging account defect & will probably get negative feedback

eBay cannt force you to complete the sale BUT there are consequences if you do not

You would not have been able to add a reserve of less than £50 anyway & that perfume sells for around £10 so it would not have been possible

In future simply start listings at the minimum you will accept

When you list on ebay you agree to sell to the highest bidder, it is very poor selling to not honour a sale and with a negative Feedback and stars could seriously damage your account.

Before you list you have the chance to preview to pick up any obvious errors. In any case you should never list at 99p unless you are prepared to sell at that price.

The buyer obviously believes you want to cancel as you did not get enough for the item and your story about forgetting to put a reserve [£50] on it does not hold water as the perfume can be easily got for under £10.

This is one of the few times that threatening bad feedback is allowed.
