Question My return seems to have been lost by RM. in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

I bought an item which failed on the first use. I started a return which the seller was happy to proceed with, and I was sent a label. I packaged the item back in it's box, removed the old delivery details, put a copy of the return label inside the package and securely attached the label. I took it to the post office and it now shows as in transit on the RM web site.

It has been "in transit" for 8 days, which is much longer than the tracked 48 should state. There is no way I can see of ebay letting me contact the seller to chase this up, royal mail don't want to know because it was a return, and therefore the sellers responsibility, and paypal just tell me to use ebay's resolution service.

What can I do? Ebay doesn't seem to care.
