Question Returns and Refunds in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hi All,

I am a relatively inexperienced Ebayer and only sell a few items from time to time and have never had any problems. However, I recently sold a watch on Ebay, with serial numbers, good photos etc. It was won, and the buyer didn't pay within the suggested 4 days. I didn't mind this so much as it was over Christmas, I messaged the buyer to ask when they would be paying so I can arrange a dispatch and they ignored my messages. So I opened a case with Ebay resolution centre. The Buyer then paid, but made a big statement about it possibly being fake and if it was he wants a refund right away. The day it is received he asks for a refund as it wasnt as described. Apparently the dial and strap are too small (in his opinion).I am OK to issue a refund. but do I pay the postage again? Thanks for reading!!!

Unfortunately if you don't the supply a return label, then buyer escalates to Ebay who will at your expense, AND you get a Defect.

One of the flaws in the system which allows dodgy payers to avoid an Unpaid strike by paying knowing full well that they are going to find a problem.

You can use the report buyer in the Feedback link, won't get you anywhere, but may make you feel better.
