    <description>&lt;P&gt;Following opening a return process and after multiple messages with a seller who tried to wrangle out of a return request by offering a partial refund for goods that were not as described, I finally got an agreement with the seller to return the good for a full refund including return postage costs.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have returned the goods and received a full refund but the refund was made by a personal Paypal payment so was not part of the ebay returns process and therefore does not show on the return case as "refund sent" so therefore this does not give me the option to close the case.&amp;nbsp; The seller has contacted ebay and received this instruction but the instruction does not seem to mirror the actual situation.&amp;nbsp; -&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or you may contact the buyer and ask them to close the return case if they receive the refund. You can provide this steps below on how to close the return. Here's how to close the return request: 1. Go to the return details page (see steps above). 2. Click Close this return (you'll only see this option if you have not posted the item back to the seller). 3. You'll see a warning that closed returns can't be opened. 4. Select a reason from the drop-down menu and click Close this return.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Although I can retrieve the returns status which still shows refund as not actioned, my ebay shows no returns for the last 31 days which I assume is because the return process is already progressing? so I seem to have no way to close this return until the return process is complete.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been into ebay help but the only option available to me is to contact ebay by phone which I am not prepared to spend more time and money for someone who thinks that everything is my fault according to his many untrue and rude replies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have informed the seller to resolve the above with ebay and that until I am given the option to close the case in the ebay returns process the case will remain open. Part of his reply (above) suggests that he has not given full or correct details to ebay about the case, i.e. 2. Click Close this return (you'll only see this option if you have not posted the item back to the seller)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As stated I had already posted the return so do not have this option?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do not want to keep rersponding with this seller anymore or sort out the mess caused by this seller unless I get the option to close the case in my ebay.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there another way to close the refund case without spending more time trying to get this return sorted or should I juist wait until ebay notify me and give me the option to close the case?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any advice would be welcome.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
