Question Returns in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the eBay returns system forces us to refund the initial postage on some returns and not other.

We offer free UK delivery, so they're all international buyers.

If a buyer puts a return request through - we sell clothing, so most common reason is - it doesn't fit, then they return it as normal. We come to refund it and it's fixed with the amount owed for the refund plus the postage charge - even through there have been no issues, no disputes or 'not as described' etc.

Why is this? It doesn't seem to do it on all of them, only some at random. Also Paypal 'holds' the money, as if it's a chargeback dispute which I think is rather dodgy, I'm not sure they should be allowed to do that.

Also, does eBay refund the FVF on items refunded through their returns system?

Sorry if these questions seem dumb, I just go round and round in circles looking for answers on the "help" centre.

Thanks
