Dear heaters

I bid on an item and I thought I had won at the price I bid,but eBay allowed a bidder to offer almost double 3 seconds after the auction had closed, lucky for me I had set a high maximum bid,so surely eBay should refund the difference as they were in the wrong, should I ring them?if it' says a time it should be to the second! Thank you Barry.
