Question Bid cancellations in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hi to the community,

For the second time in as many weeks I have received messages from eBay stating bids that I had put in had been cancelled. I find this practise from sellers who give no reason for the cancellation wholly unfair, I only buy on eBay and when I put a bid in it says in the box that by " bidding on this item I am CONTRACTUALLY COMMITTED to purchase said item if I am the winner". I believe this condition should also apply to sellers, that is, when they offer something for sale they should also be CONTRACTUALLY COMMITTED to letting the auction run its course especially if there are bids on the item no matter how low the bid is.

I have had a brief discussion with eBay about this a couple of weeks ago and I suggested that they put negative feedback remarks on the sellers profile when this happens. In auction houses items cannot be withdrawn just because the bid is too low unless there is a reserve on it. I would like to hear what other members think of this matter as i`m sure this has happened loads of times.

Happy bidding.

Clive.
