If the buyer hastily buys something off you, and then realises what he actually bought was the wrong thing, and you had a no refund policy, and the item was definately as described in the product description and photos - you as the seller should not have to incur any penalties etc and not be forced to issue a refund, correct?

Adding photos is helpful for documenting the condition of the item you sold and posted.
Both eBay Customer Service and the buyer will be able to see them. You can upload as many as

Uploaded photos can be removed only by contacting Customer Service.

Now my situation,
i sold a macbook pro (not the 2015 retina model) just a regular 13 inch macbook pro (the 2012 version).
i stated i purchased this during 2015 from apple, never did i say it was the 2015 model. just that i purchased it in 2015, as you can still buy these now from the apple
website in 2016... that wouldnt make it a 2016 model. right?

the buyer claims that i misrepresented the item as being the lighter newer model and he wants a refund, however i specifically put a no refunds policy.
all 11 of the pictures clearly showed it as being a 2012 model, the technical specifications listed in my description were specs only available on the 2012 model and according to apple the 2015 model that he thought it was isnt a regular "macbook pro 13inch" its advertised as being a "macbook pro 13inch with retina" hence a completely different product,
hence i advertised it in accordance to the manufaturers advertising scheme!

just wondered if i would definately win the case if ebay review it?

my description was clear, my pictures were clear, just happened to be an ignorant buyer who didnt realise what he was commiting to buy until it was delivered to him.
i completed the sale in good faith, in my mind i have done nothing wrong!

If the buyer states not as described then ebay will make you accept the return

No returns are for a buyers change of mind

If the item was bought in 2015 but was a 2012 model then it should state so clearly in the item description

You do say it was bought in 2015 but to me that seems to say that is would be the model of that year

That is just my opinion but I have read your item descriptin several times and can not see where it says it is a 2012 model

I dont think you will win a dispute on this as ebay usually go with the buyer anyway

Best to ask them to return for a full refund

IF you are both in the UK then you need to send a pre paid labe for the return

Once you have it back then refund your buyer and then relist and sell it on again but I would say it is a 2012 model

I would also quiry the 3 year protection

Are you sure that that warranty will be upheld if the buyer has a problem as many warranties do not pass to a second owner.
