Buyer wants refund.

I am a private seller who occasionally just sells unwanted items of my own. I sold a bag to a buyer who'd put an offer in. Buyer contacts me to say that bag was fine on arrival but on the first day she wore the bag the small leather logo (which was glued on) fell off. Sent photos. Just looks like it needs a good glue back.
I apologised and suggested that a cobbler would sort this.
she either wants me to cover cobbler costs to stick it on or a refund.
where do I stand on this.

She should open a dispute and you send a pre paid label for the return

Once youhave it back then refund in full through the dispute

Of course she wants you to either pay the repair of a refund

If she is within the 30 days then she can open the dispute

You need to deal with the problem

I would not be sending money for the repair

I don’t see how this warrants a return. It’s a second handbag In very good condition, that arrived to her this way. The logo fell off whilst wearing it plus the weather was very warm today. I’m sure that’s a factor. For all I know the label could have been pulled off purposely to provoke a refund. I don’t see why i should be at a loss here for the sake of a second hand item. This is something I’d just expect if it was me buying a second hand bag. I’m not a professional seller selling New items.

Ebay policy if the buyer says not as described then you have to deal with it. If the item had the logo on then it should stay on. You cant prove the the buyer damaged it and you can not expect the buyer to pay t o repair it. Not fair in a lot of cases but we all have problems like this at times. Makes no difference if you are a business or private seller.
