Hi,

I have a shop with around 1600 items for sale, across the UK and Globally.

Since the changes to the VAT in Ebay i have a question that Ebay C.S havent really answered.

I sold https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233398352344 to someone in Germany. UK selling price is £398 including 20% VAT so £331.67 Net of VAT.

When looking for postage to Europe i have advised that this will cost £40. This is using Parcel2go as a guide. This price will never include VAT as they know the quote is for non UK.

Ebay have deducted VAT from the postage as well as the item so the postage amount the buyer has paid is £33.33. Now i know this is only £6.67. But how can ebay treat the item VAT differently than the Postage VAT. You get the option to advise that the item includes 20% UK VAT but not the postage amount.

Other than going through all the listings and adding 20% to the EU postage costs, headache.

Do customers in non UK countries see the Net amount or the Gross amount for postage and the item ?
