I'd like to cancel an item i have bought and get a refund. The seller is not returning messages and ebay seems be automated with the same answer. How can I get this rectified?

You won't be able to cancel it if the seller isn't responding.

Buyers do not have an automatic right to cancel a purchase

You can ask but the seller does not have to unless they are a business in the UK

Even then many will just send the item if you have paid

If you have and you want to return it then you open a return request and if the seller has REturns accepted on their listing then you can return at your own expense

If you have not paid then ebay will send reminders to pay and if you still dont then the transaction will be cancelled and you will get a non payment strike on your account

Buying and then wanting to cancel wrecks the sellers listing and costs them money
