Question defect in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

I recentlyt sold a Bailey Caravan bult in 2010 on eBay and received 18 bids. The succesful bidder paid the asking amount into my bank account prior to collection.

Both Mr & Mrs seemed happy with their purchase and swept of with it to Rickmansworth, some 2 1/2 hrs trip. Arrived safeley and next days got experts in to nit pick. All information was to hand on webpage and their findings have resulted in them requiring £1650 return to put their defects right. The caravan is 10 yearts old and the service reports were available for them to understand prior to leaving. The ad. clearly states no returns, however I am not sure how many legs they have to stand on.

They can't do anything through Ebay. There is No Buyer Protection on Vehicles.

Agree with ruby - the time to look at it in detail is before paying not after.

To get an "expert" to go over it in that detail would in effect be returning it to "as new" condition which they would have got at a dealer - and paid more money for.

I had a dealer spend that sort of money on a van they were selling for me once, as they mistakenly thought it was their van. They didn't recover it all lol.

Tell your buyer to "jog on" - in more - or less - polite terms 😉

Thank you for your response. A full set of recent service documentation was available to the purchaser prior to collection, he/she chose not to comment upon this disclosure and took the item home, some 120 miles. It was only a few days late when he sought some advice, he now requires some items to be address and , requires £1650 retuning. There were 18 bids on the van and a comprehensive list of pluses and minus on this 11 year old ite, I wonder if he has any other legal channels to get recompense?

just ignore them,

there is nothing they can do

they bought and paid, end of story.
