Question Accepting returns for items sold at auction in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hi,

Any advise would be appreciated so Thanks in advance. My issue is this, I normally sell at fixed price , complying with all the Ebay rules 30 days returns, one day dispatch etc , however feel a bit miffed as when i list an item for auction I still have to offer the returns option, this doesn't seem fair for me the seller, I give accurate descriptions, provide loads of photos so people kow what they are bidding on but to have to accept a return from someone who has just changed their mind doesn't seem right. I buy from many online auction sites and serously they would laugh in my face if I said I wanted to return the item. I accept "If not as described" but at this moment I can't see the point in selling at auction, may as well stay with Buy it now. I use Auction to get a hopefully quick sale, done and dusted, but this appears not to be the case, Thank you for listening to my rant .

It makes no difference if an item is auction or BIN as a business seller you must accept returns from a consumer buyer for any reason.

If a buyer claims not as described and you can prove your item is as described you can report the buyer to eBay who will make a note on the buyers account (not visible)and if too many complaints buyer may face restrictions.
