Session expires during PayPal authentication

Have items in my basket hit checkout and select PayPal as my preferred payment method. Goes through the system and then before the final authentication eBay ends my session. The process takes less than a couple of minutes so the session isn't lying open for a long time. This is a recent occurrence but there doesn't seem to be any answer or remedy on line. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the eBay app.....no change. Used an Internet browser instead of the app.....no change. Help please.

Try paying for items separately instead of all at once.

Doesn't make any difference.

It started working again and I paid for my items 👍

Boosted by my success and bought another item and no......sessions times out before PayPal authenticates.

There is obviously some issue between eBay and PayPal but who knows?

Buy a 10 quid item and spend 2 hours trying to pay for it is a good incentive to spend my money with those .......'s at amazon
