To ebay..

As I say in the subject, the biggest problem with ebay, I feel, is the fact that there is nothing in place to protect the buyer from the seller using an image that does not match ttheir product.
The amount of times I have purchased something from ebay that turned out NOT to resemble the picture used or at best is only 'like' it but not the same.. is laughable. Resolving this is then a pain at best.

Ebay SHOULD insist upon this! i.e. that the images used are of the actual product and not something 'like it', and enforce this with it being fully the sellers responsibiity to resolve this if they break this rule...NOT the other way around !!!

The seller should have to arrange collection, refund without question etc.. if they sell something that is not what they picture in their adverts!!

This alone completely undermines the peace of mind of using ebay.

I know many share my opinion on this as have discussed this many tmes on other forums and FB etc...

I personally dont use ebay much specifically because of this, and when I do I limit my purcahse to those I can write off if need be.

I dont trust ebay purchases because of this. How can you when there is no gurantee the picture you are looking at even remotely resembles the item you will receive!?

I urge ebay to do something about this.

Just my 2 pence worth.

Rgds

Buyers are protected by the ebay money back guarantee

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy?id=4210

Returning goods that are not as described doesn't cost buyers one penny if they follow the guidelines.

Yes there are some less than honest sellers, but they soon learn when their buyers all want their money back and they have to pay to get the goods back in order to refund.

And if you notice, there is a clause on each listing that says the seller bears full responsibility for their listing.
