I openned a case against a seller in China.

2 messages (of many) mentioned that if the seller did not respond as requested Ebay would refund the amount 100% and I would also keep the item (I am not a thief!) BUT!

After days of waiting I got an address and a name but refusal to send any funding until I had paid and sent the item. On its arrival seller would refund (So yes he was wrong)!

I wrote to the UK address several times had a reply in a juvanile English that insisted I send the item.

After several attempts to explain The person in still UK did not get or Understand I was following Ebays system.

I wrote to Ebay opened a case and Ebay made it clear I was not to spend any money. Responsability being the sellers problem and They froze the case for 5 days!

Then I got a stuffy message from a very busy business man with several businesses blah blah Stating "the person in UK" I was writing to "was only a recipient name" (I was confused). That person was powerless!

I explained Ebays stand point but he was insistant if only I would "send the item at my cost everything would be fine!". I said NO! Ebay says NO!

After more silly messages from the person-recipient I had got nowhere.

Ebay to my shock provided the seller with a further 5 day (I am a 75 year old pensioner living on 20% reduced State pension. I am also disabled without funding!.) I need my money!! Never mind Ebays in charge!

Now the seller wrote to me insisting that he was the UK named (A Pakistani name) person in cognito! I must communicate "only with him in China!" the boss!. I still had no idea who the boss was?

Ebay sent me apiesing emails telling me how "professionally I was dealing with the matter"! I was still out of pocket but had the item, but I was broke!!

Then to my horrow Ebay wrote to me and told me to Pay for the Courier myself (We just wasted 4 +10 days arguing with the seller. Where is my guaranteed 100% refund 14 days after I started a return!

Then the seller wrote to me stating The Recipient on UK "Is My Partner!". WHAT! What is going on here? I still only had the UK name!

I started the process to return the item at my cost but the seller kept me waiting. He didnt want to declar "the true value!". Then "Keep it below 40 GB Pounds". I dont work for this guy in China. It has become farsical .

Then The Case Is Closed!

Then Ebay send my 100% refund, But disaster: I recieved a PDF showing 40 GB Pounds had been sent to my PayPal THE CASE IS CLOSED?

I go to my PayPal and no 40 UK quid to be seen! As of this moment there is still no 40 quid in my account, *But I can see their PDF statement* Is he trying to rob me?

Dear community what do I do now? This was a lot of money for me. The 40 quid was just a ball park figour and I dont know if the item is now mine. The case is closed!

Now I discover the item is prohibited by the couriers I looked at today. I have had 2 heart attacks and this is very stressful. Ebay I think washed their hands but I cannot understand what my obligations are under the rules and I feeel a moral obligation despite this lying rude @@@s behaviour to me. Please help? The eBay message always states that a refund will be made to your PayPal account, in fact it goes to the funding source, if your payment was backed by a credit or debit card, that's where the money will go. I think you can stop worrying.
