Cancel order. How to stop auto refund?

Hi,

I sold an item clearly stating collection only but the buyer wanted me to deliver so I said I couldn’t and did a quick refund via PayPal. I relished my item but I’ve noticed the original is still showing on my account. The only clear option I can see is to cancel the order (wish I’d done that in the first place, but this is my first) but it says it will autodo a refund which I’ve already done via PayPal. How do I sort out my mess? Thanks

If you issued the refund directly from the buyer's payment to you then they can't be refunded a 2nd time, so yo're safe to go ahead and cancel the sale.

As you said yourself if you find yourself in a similar position again cancel the sale first and then issue the refund.

The sale will stay in the sold section as it was technically a sale even though it was cancelled.
