I recently sold 2 items to the same buyer. On receiving them he found 1 had what appears to be age related holes in. These items are clothing which I have never taken out of the original plastic packaging. They still had the original sales labels on. I have stated to the buyer that I have never taken these items out of the packaging so don't know where these holes have come from. My query is should I partially refund him as a goodwill gesture or as they were damaged without my prior knowledge should I just apologise and nothing I can do?

I would imagine an item with holes would not appease a buyer by offering a partial refund, you could try, but cannot see them accepting it.

You do have to fully refund if that is what the buyer wishes, as the item is not as described. So ask them to open a case for this, fully refund through those case details, do so within 8 days, and your seller fee is refunded.
