Question Collection in person/postage in Member To Member Support DO NOT DELETE

Hello, can anyone advise me?

I have sold an item that was an auction, and I have accepted an offer. (say £25)

The buyer has paid, via PayPal, the full offer amount (£25), and would like to collect in person as they are close, and will save £12 postage.

I can't work out if the offer 'includes' the postage amount and I therefore need to refund postage?

Has anyone any experience of this?

Offers made through the official process do not include postage. However, if you didn't have collection on the listing the buyer would have had to pay the postage on the listing, when they paid.

How did the buyer make the offer and has the auction actually ended?

The buyer made an offer through the usual channel and I accepted it, ending the auction automatically.
The original listing has a 'postage and packing' price of £12, and 'free collection in person' listed as options.
Now, can I assume the buyer has opted for the 'free collection in person' option, as this is their intention.
I appreciate that I am starting to answer my own question here!
