Has Hermes delivered to wrong address ?

The item I won wasn't received by me, yet Hermes claims it was delivered.

The tracking says the item was "Left securely in porch" - I don't have a porch,

as I live in a 3rd floor flat!

Your problem is with Hemes and you need to contact them and ask them where your item is.

If you opened a dispute and it says Delivered then you would lose.

Have you asked around the flats to see if anyone has it.

Unfortunately Hermes may only deal with the person who sent the item

Contact Citizens advice if you have problems and see what action they say you should take

Yes, have asked around - RM sometimes leaves items with other flats, & postcards through my door.
I would imagine any another proper courier to also do that.
The item description implied Royal Mail would be used, so I was worried that the seller used Hermes instead.
The sellers replies to my messages are terse & they seem uninterested.
Hence starting the proper ebay refund process.
Will try asking Hermes, though if they put the seller first, yet often miss-deliver, a solution seems unlikely.

If you chose that seller because it was RM and not Hermes, because Hermes in your area is unreliable, then the seller has breached the terms of their contract with you. This may not wash with ebay, but I would put thus to the seller in the strongest possible terms.

Hermes only have a limited number of choices for where they leave an item, porch does not mean you have a porch, it could equally mean on the floor of the lobby in plain sight.

If they said Royal Mail on the listing then that is who they should have sent by.

If the tracking shows as Delivered then you will lose any dispute and you need to contact Hermes to see where your item is.

Also ask the seller to check with Hermes as they almost always are with the person who sent the item ( the seller)
They dont have to do anything if it shows as Delivered

If you dont find it then as in my first post you contact Citizens Advice for their help
