    <description>&lt;P&gt;This was based on a Post Office being the collection point. (I think I got a bit confused because you mentioned&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Royal Mail. But I'm now realising C&amp;amp;C within eBay is only via Evri, isn't it? So where does RM come into it?)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I assume the PO will return unclaimed parcels, but an independent shop probably won’t - as they would probably keep the unclaimed parcel (as seems to be their prerogative, based on the T&amp;amp;Cs of Click and Collect).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the seller never receives the item back then they are unlikely to refund you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But a missing email with the collection code should not be the fault of either the buyer or seller. It falls with the courier and eBay.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Click and Collect wants a Barcode</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I chose to have my item delivered to a Collection Point (as there have been a lot of delivery thefts). eBay said in the email to wait for a collection code before trying to collect my item. Royal Mail only asked for ID and email confirmation, so the collection code is an eBay issue.&lt;BR /&gt;It’s been delivered since 7 May, no email regarding the code. Only today after back and forth with agents that a code is on the order confirmation email.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now, I tried that 8-letter code to the Click and Collect staff but said it’s not working. They use a handy scanning machine to confirm, so I assume they want a BARCODE. However, no barcode (or qr code) sent via email from eBay, no barcode as per the agent I spoke to last night. Only this 8-letter code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Last 8 May, they said to wait for the specialist team to reply in 72 hours. Today 10 May, the agent said the specialist team will get back to me within 24-48 hours. I probably just need to be a little bit more patient but it’s really definitely getting frustrating.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(Not eBay but I had to generate a (QR) code for a Relay collection before. Does eBay have a similar solution?)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone who had a similar problem? How were you able to collect your item?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="5"&gt;I used click and collect a lot during the past and certainly the barcode/scanner is convenient.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="5"&gt;There used to also be a simple code on the message from eBay which the shop can use though you may need to be persistent.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="5"&gt;The real problem is that you do not have unlimited time!&amp;nbsp; The item stays at the shop for just 7 days after which it is returned [somehow] to the seller [or so they say]&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Try asking them nicely at the collection point. Explain the situation. They shouldn’t need a collection code from you. If they can confirm your name and address, that should suffice.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They know me well by now at my Post Office (as I am in there a few times a week). When I have something to collect and have forgotten my phone (quite a few times), they are able to just give me the parcel as they know me. That makes it obvious they do not need to the code to release the item.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Failing that, you will need to wait for eBay to resolve it. Which may come down to getting them to refund you because they haven’t resolved it before the collection deadline.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you both for the reply. You gave me ideas on how to deal with this for now.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think my plan for now is to wait for eBay to get back to me. If they provide a barcode, great. If not, I’ll beg the C&amp;amp;C staff with all identification and emails on hand. If they still won’t, I’d probably contact the seller for a refund or redelivery. They (C&amp;amp;C) really have to make it so complicated compared to the Post Office.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am having same problem. Royal mail delivered the item and updated to say that but eBay haven't updated their delivery page so no barcode. Shop will not release the item without a barcode.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I just finished with a phone call with Royal Mail customer service. (Failed to contact them over the weekend.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So the barcode thing for C&amp;amp;C now seems to be more of a Royal Mail issue rather than an eBay issue. It’s a long wait on the phone but just be patient. They will raise the issue with a Specialist Team and will aim to get back to me within 72 hours.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;There are two different types of click and collect on ebay.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you look at the order details screen or in the order confirmation email; in the address does it contain "eCP" followed by an 8 character code?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I also noticed on the email that they have extended the collection date until the 20th of May.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Many thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Glad it is sorted now.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So it sounds like the seller left off the&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;eCP code then, which would explain why you never got a collection code sent to you.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I must admit&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I only remembered C&amp;amp;C within eBay via Evri (and also InPost now). As it is the only one I've used as a buyer, as&amp;nbsp;it is the only one that offers a discount for using that service.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
