I wouldn’t expect to hear anything positive about eBay live from the forums.

i have no issue with it, but i wont personally be buying anything or hosting any. However every post about ebay live here is one of disdain and asking if any reference to it can be removed because people seem incapable of ignoring it.

I ignore it. I have no time or inclination for such things. There is also part of me that is irked by the fact Im paying for any costs associated with ‘ebay partners with Saturday Night Live’ with my highly inflated fees. Selling on ebay is hard work. Anyone that can do live streams is either doing it as a hobby, got staff and/or got money in the bank/other regular form of income. I do this full time and then some. Its my main source of income and the current economic climate means its more difficult to do especially when ebay is taking a large chunk of my money. So personally, ebay can shove Ebay Live up their you know what! My buyers won’t be interested in this format.

Old as the hills just modernised, also known as demming or run out, mqrket stall, cheap car polish, bright red mini bonnet, can of lighter fuel, spray the fuel on the bonnet and chuck a match at, the fuel burns away from the paint, no damage, crowd amazed, 10 quid a bottle, rinse and repeat.

2lb of scottish rib eye steak, put it on giant scales, it goes just over 2lbs, then add 2 lb of pork rib, chuck that on the scales, it goes just over 2lbs, shout a high price, read the audience, wick at yer mate in the crowd and he raises his hand and rushes forward with a fist full of cash, others amazed and for there convenience you have 20 of the same deal alreay bagged, they surge forward to give money, yer mate goes round the back of the stall and hey presto you just found a extra bag.

This is as old as the hills, yawn.............

At least most of the kudos given to the announcement appears to have come from real businesses, not people who appear to have never bought or sold anything on ebay and whose only contribution to the boards appears to be 'liking' ebay announcements.

If it is App. only, which is what it seems, is it aimed at those who are glued to their mobiles ? Or will those who use desk-tops soon find rows of videos all over the site under the guise of "Recommended" and "Related" etc. items? If so the site will be slower, look more cluttered and distracting than ever.

Well, the 'crowd' here don't seem to have been too impressed, or anything else. Will it go the same way as the team up with Love Island ?

I don't know, I don't remember how that one ended. The publicity just fizzled out and it just seemed to fade away ?

Sponsrships tied to a show that is on for a limited period of time would tend to do that.

The kudos could also come from an ebayer thats been on here 25 years and is a registered business that owns outright the commercial property it operates from and also owns 3 other sales websites.

True but at least they sell stuff, unlike when I've checked out others that have given Kudos to ebay announcements, who appear to never buy, sell or use the boards, just give Kudos to ebay announcements and nothing else.

It could be the press or pr company or a group looking to exploit a weakness, or someone thats completey at the edn of there tether in search of the meaning of life.

the complaints in the main are on it being promoted on ‘their’ homepage. Which eBay are more than free to do.
