It now seems full of "stories" which appear to be completely made up to look like it's about something that really happened. I've just seen one which is about Dean Martin supposedly hearing a blind begger girl singing his songs. It goes in to great detail as if it's reporting something that happened. It never did but why do people make up such things? If those sort of things are repeated often enough they'll be accepted as fact?

What has happened to youtube? It used to be full of songs, music, oldies, goldies and newies and now it's over populated with "tricks" of how to do this (badly), how to make "that" (needing an armload of tools and/or equipment) and make-believe happenings that never really happened and have you seen how long some of them are? The strange thing is, some have an absolutely huge number of views!

Anyone got any comments/explanations/criticisms?

It all used to be algorithm based, so watch a few of those kind of videos and it should serve you more of them, though some oddities will always rise up to the top.

my kids sadly watch it and it’s all absolute nonsense with kids from influencer families basically promoting toys.

the songs and oldies are there of course, just do a search.

you can block complete channels, though it’s pretty pointless as there’s 10 more channels like the one you blocked!
