Royal Mails Definition of Standard large Letter ( New Prices)

I've started post dating listings to start on the 2nd April with  the New prices, however I'm not sure on the section "Standard Large letter" 0 to .750 gram

Does this mean any Item Immiterial To It's Shape or Size & weighing less but upto and including 750g will be classed as Standard Large Letter.  Any constructional help would be appreciated.

I was confused about the changes and looked on the Royal Mail website which did help!

I think the price to send a Large Letter is not as straight forward as it first appears.

Yesterday I used the Post Office online price finder, and it seems that a Large Letter up to 500g costs £1.60 to post First Class, but if the Large Letter weighs more than 500g it costs £2.30, so there are two sorts of ' Large Letter', a 'light one' and a 'heavy one'.

I did phone the Post Office Help Line to check, and this was confirmed.

Is anyone else aware of this price difference?

Thanks for the detailed information.  I was reading the website as saying that all large letters up to 750g were the same price (for any particular posting class).  I Shan't make the same mistake again.

Next time you go to the Post Office, pick up an "Our Prices" leaflet.

It lists all the domestic prices for all the different sizes and weights, as well as international prices.
