I ordered and paid for an item, and got the email confirming the order. The email offered a tracking service, but when I attempted this I got the response

Sorry, you aren't the buyer or the seller for this transaction. Only the buyer or seller can access this page.

Of course I certainly AM the buyer, but if ebay thought I wasn't why did they send me the email??  Anyone able to shed light on this abberation?

That is a fairly common error message but it is a 'glitch' for want of a better word.  Log out, clear cache and try again using a different browser.
