return of an item

ive recentley purchased an item fro ebay but when recieved the item was broken and was not broken in transit as the packaging was in perfect condition and was clearley sent broken i asked to return the item which was excepted, i sent the item back on recorded delivery by royal mail a week ago still no refund so ive checked royal mail tracking and it says return to sender, on further inspection of the full tracking details it says its waiting at there local post office?

Did you do this through an eBay case?  If so, stick with the case and phone customer support tomorrow morning when the lines reopen.  Explain that the seller is refusing to collect the returned item.
