paying extra money when receiving item

hi all can anyone help me what to do??????? pls..... i found an item wich is an android box which its seller is based in uk and because its in europe like i come from, malta no duties had to be paid when receiving the item, but the thing is here when i received the item delivered by dhl, i was told that i has to pay extra 43 euros because it comes from a non european member (honk kong) and i said that i bought it from a uk based seller but when seen the return address on the item box it was from honk kong thats why i had to pay the extra 43 euros, i payed them and afterwords i contacted the seller which i was told that becasue he had no stock in uk he send it from honk kong and he cant do nothing but just asking dhl for paying 43 euros ....  how can i manage this problem
