Ripped off and no ebay help.

Hi.
Recently purchased an item
and upon arrival it was faulty.
Contacted seller who agreed to replace it. However, he requested that I close my case with ebay as I could easily keep both the faulty item, the new one and then also get my cash refunded. I agreed to this like an idiot and guess what..... no replacement ever turned up.
As I closed the case I can now not reopen it and it is a nightmare trying to get through to ebay.
Once again, let down by their poor practices and policies.

You didn't bother to read up on how the dispute system works, so were unaware that if you closed it you couldn't re-open it, and this is somehow eBay's fault?

 

Honestly, we're turning into a nation of blame somebody else for our own silly actions. It has to be somebody else's fault, nobody can just hold their hand up and say "I goofed, is there any way out if this?".
