I've finished an auction early and accepted a bid on an item, however the bidder wants to send a collection service for the item. Perhaps I'm being overly suspicious but how would I prove the item has been collected - guess I would need a tracking number from the buyer? Sorry first time I've sold on eBay

for that amount of money I would insist on sending it myself,

or

if they want to send their own courier ask for a bank to bank payment and only let the courier collect once the payment shows as clear in your bank account.
