Followed searches

I have 4 followed searches on my account and receive text alerts when new items are listed. However for one of them (New York Jets Jersey size medium) I get an alert pretty much every day saying 'new items added' but when I open that search there is never anything there! It has happened with one other followed search in the past too and I got so sick of it that I stopped following it. Any ideas why this is happening please?

Ebays alerts have a mind of their own.  I keep getting  "ending soon alerts" for items that I have never even looked at - and never would.   Fishing equipment, engine parts - you name it.

The latest was size 10 ripped skinny jeans  I'm a 67 year old granny, ripped stuff belongs in the bin,  and it's been a long time since I was a size 10
