EBay ruled in buyers favour

Hi. I recently sold a part from my van that was no longer needed as I had upgraded that part... The person bought it on eBay had it a while... couldn't fit it to his van so told me it was defective and wanted his money back. I refused as there was nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Also I did not want to receive it back as it's probably been damaged in the process of fitting. I and the seller exchanged messages... his messages made it clear that he didn't know what he was doing with the van part. He got eBay involved and they have ruled against me. Now my PayPal is in the minus and I have no van part. Am I supposed to now wait till the buyer can be bothered to send it back in whatever condition it's now in? What am I supposed to do... I don't usually sell anything on eBay now I'm out of pocket and less a part for a van that I was selling that was in 100% good condition.

Thanks

Any help would be appreciated.

The case is closed and eBay's involvement is over. To emphasise:- whatever the rights and wrong you should have responded to the case and accepted the return and paid for a return label.

As you did not then eBay refunded and because of that have put a defect on your account too.

If you actually want the item back you will now have to send the money to the buyer to return.  It will make no difference to the situation though and at worst you will have a non working thing sitting around.
