Postage
I've finished an auction early and accepted a bid on an item, however the bidder wants to send a collection service for the item. Perhaps I'm being overly suspicious but how would I prove the item has been collected - guess I would need a tracking number from the buyer? Sorry first time I've sold on eBay

for that amount of money I would insist on sending it myself,

or

if they want to send their own courier ask for a bank to bank payment and only let the courier collect once the payment shows as clear in your bank account.

Tell them that the item is for collection in person only, no couriers.

You are absolutely right to be wary - you would not have a tracking number to prove delivery to the buyer if they opened a case for non-receipt and you would not be able to claim from their courier if the item arrived damaged.
