Faulty goods

I bought a pair of new shoes from a company.  They have now developed a fault and are unwearable because of it.  They were bought in February but the company is insisting that after 3 months they have no records so can do nothing about it.  I have messaged them several times as I believe we are entitled to have them repaired or replaced but they reply with the same message each time.  I can't find the correct heading to contact e-bay under to ask for their help.  Any advice please?
