There's one this weekend:

They only announce them a couple of days in advance.

Click on "Announcements",  bottom of any page.

They're never announced very much ahead of time, so you just have to keep an eye on the Announcements, as peaseblossom says.

The one this weekend has conditions attached, as you'll see.

Rubbish - I missed it. How they expect you to list items on your phone and attach pics etc. I'll never know.

Use to be every other weekend or thereabouts with the exception of the "special free listing 4 days Christmas time.

Now appears to be every weekend and no doubt there will be an extended Easter Free Listing Days.

On another note, why do private sellers put a Reserve Price when it's a Free Listing days??  As I understand it, when it sells, they have to pay 3% of the reserve price they put on as well as the 10% FVF - have I got that right???

You rarely find out about FLW's before late Friday or sometimes Saturday morning via emails.

However, if you scroll down your Selling page to the bottom, it is sometimes announced earlier in the Announcements section.

I will bet almost anything that the next one (other than this current weekend) will be a Four Day Free Listing, stretching from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

Yes, you have.  I think a lot of, particularly new, sellers dont really understand the reserve price situation. As you say, on FLWs simply start at the price you would have put the reserve at - its all free anyway!

As was said at the beginning of this thread you have to look out for announcements. Free listing weekends are only announced a day or two before they happen.

If everybody knew well in advance when they could list for free there could be serious effect on eBay's profits!

Re: Next free listing weekend?

Like many others I was sure there would be an extended Easter free listing (there was) but it never did appear on announcements.

I stumbled on it by accident as a BIG box on the home page, something I rarely navigate through so in future on Fridays I will check Home page as well.

Just in case

Cheers

Are you saying that there WAS a free listing weekend at Easter ?

I was watching for a FLW for weeks and never saw anything in announcements (where it is usually listed) and did not receive an email either :smileysad:

Re: Next free listing weekend?

The one this weekend isn't in announcements, isn't on the home page, I haven't had an e-mail. I'd never have known if it weren't for someone putting a link in seller central,  in this thread :- http://community.ebay.co.uk/topic/Seller-Central/Free-Listing-April/18000495993.

I think there's a new system, if you can find it you can have it  :^O
