How do I list an item for sale that is for collection only from a different address to mine?  I need to sell my deceased mother's furniture from her house which is not at my address and is 300 miles away

You need to use the Advanced selling form, and in the Give Buyers P&P details section, select Domestic Postage: "No Postage: Local Pick-up Only".

There's a location box there too, you can change the item location

there (just remember to change it back to yours once for your listings).

If you are able to ensure someone is available when the items are to be picked up from where the furniture is located you can change you location on the individual listing on the Advanced Form. Also worth including the location in the description. Possibly in bold.

If you don't have anyone who is available at short notice to be present when the buyer wants to pick up, you could have problems. You often read here on AC that buyers don't turn up when they're say they will and some don't turn up at all.

It might be worth considering a courier service as that will open your auctions up to a wider audience and you might get more bids.

Never let the buyer organise a courier to pick up an item as that can lead to other problems..
