There are 4 bids on my item which started at 60 GBP but it only went up once to 62GBP it is going up in crements of 2GBP does anyone know why, I'm new to selling
it takes 2 unique bidder to make the price increase
sounds like one of your biders has made 3 bids
If you are asking for help please give as much details as possible in your post to help responders find a correct answer for you.
Somebody bid the opening price of £60 on 29th October.
Another bidder outbid them to become the current high bidder at £62 (i.e. a minimum £2.00 bid increment above £60.00).
Your current bidder has since increased their bid twice to try to make sure of winning it, but you won't know how much more they have bid unless someone else bids against them.
That's how eBay's automatic bidding system works. It conceals a bidder's full bid, but if they're outbid it bids on their behalf one increment at a time until their maximum has been reached.
Thanks, thats exactly waht has happened but not sure why someone would bid the same amount three times ???
Aah thats solved it thanks!
They haven't bid the same amount, they have increased their max. bid each time, they must really want it.
