I have just tried to list an item for sale and received the following message."A payment method has to be set up so you can continue to sell on eBay".I always pay my sellers fees by making a one off payment,Why do I,and why should I open an automatic payment system.

Hi.

Ebay would prefer sellers to have automatic payment set up to pay their seller fees.

I would just go ahead and set it up.

I`ve had it for ages, and still pay by making a one time payment.

Might also be worth checking you don`t owe £15.00 or more for fees first though, and if you do, paying it off might allow you to continue without the automatic payment set up

The requirement is not new but eBay have recently taken to enforcing it. If you want to sell again then you must do as they ask.
