EBay have said that they will remove the statement in feedback as they know it is a blatant lie and the buyerknows it. What is really annoying me it says in part of the e-bay reply that they will in fact remove the comment however the feedback will remain on my account.  Why ?.

Proof of postage is only proof that you posted the item and not proof that the buyer recieved it.

What you could of done was to send a copy of the proof of postage to the buyer to prove that you had sent it. You then claim off your proof of postage from Royal Mail. Proof of postage covers up to £46.

Did they contact you to say they had not recieved their item before leaving the negative. If so you should of tried to sort it out with them and refunded.
Royal mail deem items lost after 15 days but sometimes buyers will not wait that long so a seller should refund.

I would be suprised if ebay reemoves the negative as they require a tracked method of postage to confirm reciept of items they do not usually accept proof of postage.
