No, thats not how it works. The item would have to get over £150 for bids to be £5 a time

Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
Bidding increases in increments, if you list at £5.00 and 1st bidder bids £5.00 and 2nd bidder bids £10.00 it would only increase to £5.50 etc.
Between £5.01 and £15.00 the bid increments would be 50p.
