Hi, I have just sold an item and have a message to say that payment has been initiated through paypal.

 

There is no record of this in my paypal account.

 

I would appreciate any advice as to what I have do do next. I have not had this crop up before.

There is no record of this in my paypal account.

Could just be paypal on a go slow.

 

Click on sell similar next to the item. Then scroll down to the payment section.

 

Double check the payment email address is correct.

Thanks julie..will check the email address, but I have sold seven items today and they have been OK

Have just found there is an error in the payment address.

 

What do I do now?

Contact the buyer and explain there is an error.

 

Tell them to log into their paypal account and cancel the transaction. They will have this option as your email address is incomplete.

 

Then use the request money tab in paypal to send a new invoice. Include a note of your seller id and the item number. This means you will both have full paypal protection. They then pay you directly through paypal.

 

Mark the item as paid in my ebay once they have paid.

 

If they are worried by this then tell them to come to the answer centre or just send them the link to this question.
