Hi,

You don't have to allow their courier!

Explain that it's personal collection only, so they check the item for themselves.

They should have asked you while the listing was live.

You MUST not allow this, as you are responsible for the item untill they get it, if their courier damages it you are responsible.

If they should send the courier anyway, you have to tell then that you don't have a package for collection.

Point out to them that if you had been willing to package it for a courier then you would have listed it with a postage option.

This would have undoubtedly increased the number of bids.

If they leave negative feedback for you then contact ebay. It is against the rules to leave feedback relating to something not offered in your listing.

collect in person means exactly what it says... the buyer must collect in person.

If the buyer arranges a courier YOU will have to pack it, YOU may have to wait in all day for the courier (a guy on here the other week took the day off work and the courier failed to turn up), YOU will be respinsible for any damage caused during transit. Even if the buyer says he will take responbsibility, in reality he wont!

dont offer to cancel either, if he's miffed you won't play ball he is likely to reject the cancellation leaving you with the FVF to pay

Now they are splitting hairs.

Collection in person was not "offered" in your listing. It was clearly a condition of sale.

Now they have paid, ask them when they are going to pick it up.

Explain you do not have a box large enough, and you are not able to trawl around your local shops seeing if someone will be kind enough to give you one.

Something tells me you are going to have trouble with them.

I would be temoted to report them for malicious buying. They are trying to make you do something which was not offered in the listing.

You can report from "Some examples"

I see you have recieved a neg for the transaction and put a reply on another thread about it.

http://community.ebay.co.uk/question/Postage-Payments/Listing-Fragile-Item/1700093849?#msg1700700831

You should try and get it removed as they are asking for a service you did not offer. Even the person from the church was not the person buying the item. ( if that was ever a possibility)

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-removal.html

Its worth a try and you could point to the messages you recieved

julies reply above mentions malicious bidding which may be worth a try
